Due to legislative bill SF160 which was signed by Governor Reynolds, the Clinton Community School District is in the process of amending its Return to Learn plan to comply with state law. That means that the first day of instruction on or after February 15 will provide an option of 100% in-person learning.
The Clinton Community School District will have several barriers to convert from a hybrid model to 100% in-person model. The current delivery model maximized social distancing by moving some 4th graders and all 5th graders to the middle school or high school. The district reality is many teachers and students were displaced, and it will take time and resources to meet this state mandate.
The district will finalize its plans and announce them no later than this Thursday. The district is committed to continuing required face coverings and sanitation routines. The district will social distance as much as possible given the fact that we will be serving about 1000 additional students in our buildings on a daily basis.
I apologize for this disruption to the school year and thank you for your support of Clinton Community School District.
