COVID-19 QUARANTINE AND TESTING GUIDANCE/REQUIREMENTS

There has been some inquiries and confusion about how the Clinton Community School District will handle travel during spring break in regards to potential quarantines AND testing due to the pandemic. First, the school district has not and will not be setting its own quarantine policies. From the beginning of this pandemic, the Clinton Community School District will follow Centers of Disease Control (CDC) and Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) requirements or guidelines. These are federal and state public health agencies that have far more expertise in disease control. The school district will follow these public health recommendations.

The school district cannot predict what the guidance/requirements for spring break travel will be. What we do know is that the guidance/requirements have been constantly updated as we learn more about the virus and current experiences across the globe. It has been a moving target.

For those that are planning travel over spring break, the Clinton Community School District will follow the CDC and IDPH guidance/requirements for quarantining and testing during that time. Please make your family decisions with that in mind.
